A hearty Wednesday attaboy to the good folks at Winston for dropping the first in their 5 part microspey series with Brian Silvey – Winston doesn’t allow embedding of their vids so you’ll need to click through to view.
Attaboy.
From Wild Steelheaders United –
Join us next Tuesday for a special event, “Soul of the Snake,” to learn how you can help save one of the Northwest’s most valuable salmon and steelhead fisheries.
Trout Unlimited and Wild Steelheaders United are working to recover these iconic fish, but the four dams on the lower river are standing in the way. Returns of salmon and steelhead on the Snake are at their lowest levels since counts began in 1938.
During Tuesday’s Zoom event, TU President and CEO Chris Wood will join Congressman Mike Simpson (R-ID) and Nez Perce Tribal leader Shannon Wheeler in explaining why removing the four dams on the lower Snake River is critical to recovering salmon and steelhead—and how related investments can jumpstart growth of the regional economy.
Today over on the Older Bolder Life I’ve posted a nifty recipe for an Old School Broccoli Salad (Bacon and Pepitas!) with a Twist – the twist being a punchy, sharp, yet well-rounded mustard vinaigrette as the dressing (versus the mayo-based version you’re grandmother made).
This one’s freakin’ tasty, simple to pull together, and will be a perfect side for your fall grilling masterpieces to come; and by the way, this one gets better for the day or two after it’s made.
Cheers.
