The Good Ones Make It Look Easy

Last week, Mark and I had an opportunity to watch and film Zack Williams, editor of Swing the Fly, in Gig Harbor’s Skansie Brothers Park.  The film is for an upcoming project we are all pretty excited about.  More details on that later.  We apparently caused quite a stir in Gig Harbor, as the baristas in the coffee shop across the street were telling their customers “there’s a big fly fishing movie being shot across the street”.

I’ve spent a lot of my life around water and fly fishermen.  I don’t think I have ever seen anyone cast a line more smoothly and seemingly effortlessly than Zack.  It was a true pleasure to spend a few hours watching and listening.  It’s amazing what you can learn just by watching someone that’s really good at it.  Here’s a few shots from the morning:

Zack’s trusty lab Pate proved to be a good guard dog for all our gear…
