The temperature outside has risen to a balmy -9 by mid-morning today after a brisk -21 last night.

Jess has been out having some fun – some nifty coyote pics from the Lamar Valley taken a few days ago. Still down with the flu…tomorrow will be a recovery day. Pheasant hunt in the morning and turkey in the afternoon, Lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise.

Rigging on the Firehole late Wednesday afternoon we noticed a small bull bison had drifted in out of the trees just across the road from the car.
Neither party flinched as we rigged and he grazed on down the road – there were white miller caddis coming off and we sure as hell weren’t leaving…..
