BOTE has scored another win with their Beneath the Surface podcast series, this one covering some of our favorite territory in the big redfish country around Venice, LA. Yep, we have saltwater, Gulf Coast, redfish and seatrout fishing on the brain these days….

In case you missed it in their last newsletter, Blue Ribbon Flies did a nifty short piece on fishing Slough Creek in the “NE Corner” of YNP in September. Jake and a few courageous compadres just spent a few days back there and as always 1) had a blast and 2) saw lots of critters (elk and grizzlies).

The Idaho Statesman astutely reported last Friday on the latest earthquake swarm in Yellowstone a few days back; read the full article here, and here’s the latest USGS tracking of this incredibly active seismic zone.

Jess just spent some time on the Lochsa (personal record wild cuttie) and the Clearwater and saw her first Idaho steelie in the wild – it’s damned impressive…

We’ve had a pretty crazy ten days around our camp completing a local move; it ended up being a bit more of a disruption in our routine than I’d anticipated and we’re just now getting life back to normal on our end. This genius tip for maximizing your biscuit enjoyment popped up in Garden and Gun’s feed a few weeks back and is a perfect fit for today’s Friday Feast.

Back to regular programming next week. Cheers.
