Today over on the Older Bolder Life I’ve posted this nifty recipe for a Loaded Huevos Rancheros using the Tex Mex Chorizo and Ranchero Tomato Salsa (or sauce, pending your intentions in the kitchen that particular day) I’ve shared over the past several weeks.

It doesn’t require a genius to pull this one together, but today’s recipe guidelines put a different spin on huevos that you’ve likely seen, are most certainly worth a gander during these long, cold days of mid-winter.

Cheers.

Getting into the Yellowstone backcountry to fly fish can be one of those bucket list, phenomenal trips all trout-chasing fly fishers should contemplate and complete at some point in their fly fishing career. In reality however, many fishers don’t have the outdoor chops to complete the trip on their own, considering the multi-day adventure required demands physical conditioning, backpacking skills, and a healthy respect and tolerance for some critter risk you won’t find anywhere else in the lower 48, except perhaps northern Wyoming (Ursa horribilis is what I’m talking about here).

A viable alternative is to pursue a guided trip in – Jess did one with a horse packing team a few years ago on assignment; the MGTU team is bringing in one of the top such teams in the region to speak virtually at their meeting this week (see image above). You’ll never have an easier chance to hear from one of the best what a trip like this entails.
