The new recreation plan rules for Montana’s Madison River were published last week; the summary above was cut from Blue Ribbon Flies’ newsletter, who obtained the succinct summary from FOAM.
Given all that’s happening in the non-fly fishing world of late, the announcement didn’t garner as much reaction as those who have been following the story might have expected, at least thus far.

And once again, at least as of yesterday morning, not a single word on the issue from the Madison River Foundation (website and social media), the organization ostensibly chartered to preserve and protect the river. Impressive.
