In the circles in which I tend to run, folks appear to either love – or despise – Tom Rosenbauer for reasons that never seem altogether clear to me. (I’m guessing those falling on the negative side of the spectrum associate TR with their own outdated view of Orvis back from the tweed English driving cap days …). As with most people who have worked decades in the fly fishing industry, TR does have an interesting story and bundle of adventures that he’s accumulated along the way.
