The mantra that we and thousands of others have repeated over the years still holds true: Pebble is the wrong mine at the wrong time in the wrong place.
Theres a new chapter in the saga unfolding now, given that the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Pebble Mine has been published. We the public have a chance to comment on one key certification – a water quality certification – that the State of Alaska must issue before the Army Corps of Engineers can give the Pebble Partnership a permit under the Clean Water Act.
