In part due to prior critter encounters of our own and the simple fact that several members of our team (and family) are tromping around in bear country in Montana just about every day, I keep my eyes peeled for reports and stories of bear encounters in particular in the Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho regions.
The Missoulian recently ran this story – Grizzly bear bit holstered bear spray during Wyoming attack – detailing a somewhat unusual encounter that occurred on a shed hunting trip in Sunlight Basin northwest of Cody.
