Last week NOAH announced a plan – the Florida Keys Marine Sanctuary Restoration Blueprint – to enhance protections for sensitive zones in the amazing block of territory encompassed by the Keys. Those enhancements include recommendations to expand the no-fishing zones in the region, which not unexpectedly invoked a bit of pushback from different users of the waters in the region (via the Miami Herald).
The restoration plan is expansive and detailed, worth a read if you’re a Keys aficionado.
