Bob is direct, evidence-based, with pointed commentary covering an issue we’ve been questioning for years, that being the ongoing “robust” (some might even say indiscriminate) harvest of steelhead and salmon by the First Nations in Canada and the tribes here in the States. Yet another striking example of politicians and regulators fiddling while these fisheries dwindle to almost nothing, with the FN and tribes strikingly, and damned short-sightedly, by the available evidence, complicit.
Hell yes, it’s a complex issue, and in many ways a sad one for the FN + T, but how can the evidence be any more clear?
