in Access and Public Lands

Brett French has a nice piece up in the Missoulian about the ongoing tussles over access to Montana’s Crazy Mountains, a stone’s throw from Jake and Kaitlyn’s home in Livingston, and a welcome edifice on the eastern skyline viewed from their backyard. Access is a tricky issue, and some of the groups involved in the longstanding disputes in the Crazies have made the process MUCH more complicated and protracted than it should be…

The right to access public lands is critically tied to using these lands responsibly, and respecting and taking care with private easements; it’s a damn shame a few asshats can undermine access for the majority of savvy public lands users.
