What say ye regarding the Feds announcement last week they plan to expand hunting and fishing opportunities on 1.4 million acres of land ensconced in current national wildlife refuges and fish hatcheries?

Here’s the press release from Interior (5 June) and a list of the proposed sites that will offer expanded access if approved. The proposed rule has not been published for comment yet (as of yesterday afternoon); I’ll post a link when it’s up.

Without reading through the monstrosity of a proposal (it’s 675 damn pages), we’ll throw our approval behind the plethora of groups signing on to the concept already – most of the time, the more access the better.

Attaboy.
