Please take a little time out of your Memorial Day festivities to remember what today is really about; among many things today is a time we as a nation honor and remember those who have fallen serving our country.
Brandon R, writing in years past at One Bug is Fake (doesn’t appear to have posted in a few years), wrote every Memorial Day about a very nice tradition that he and his family practiced – read about it here (image from the linked post above). The tradition of placing a stone on a grave marker has ancient roots, and is practiced my many cultures around the world, including at our own Nation’s cemetery – Arlington.
Attaboy Brandon, hope you’re still rounding up the kids and doing this today, and may many others join you (and us) doing so today.
