Talking to a friend this past weekend and the subject of backcountry / high country / small waters in remote areas of the West came up, which led him to share (in a wandering, roundabout sort of way) some phenomenal stories of fishing in the Rubies. Development is threatening some pristine areas and waters there, and he mentioned this group – Sportsmen for the Rubies – who have formed to help draw attention to, and to protect the Rubies (which are off the radar for most of us).
Even if only to lend a digital hand and voice in support, visit their site and read through what the group is working on; they’re doing some good work out there, and I imagine more than a few of you will add the Rubies to your bucket list…
