Kudos are due the Pacific Salmon Foundation (specifically their Salmon Watersheds Program) for pulling together the research to create their Pacific Salmon Explorer site. They’ve drilled down in an impressively granular fashion, looking at three key salmon producing regions in BC (the NASS, the Skeena, and the Central Coast) and built an interactive tool to look at various factors impacting salmon and watershed health.

Damned interesting for those interested in truly getting to the root issues impacting Pacific salmon these days; bona fide scientists among us would likely call for a bit more transparency with regard to source data, but this is a nifty tool.
