Just before Christmas Cam over at the Fiberglass Manifesto posted a link to a nice piece posted by the American Museum of Fly Fishing – The Fishing Notes of John Voelker, Michigan’s Mightest Piscator – and shared in his post a bit of his history, learning to fly fish a few decades back in Northern Michigan and spending time back out there a few years ago, including a few days spent with one of Voelker’s grandsons. Some nifty images on Cam’s site…
Voelker wrote under the pen name Robert Traver, and his Trout Magic, Trout Madness, Laughing Whitefish, and Anatomy of a Murder should be on your bookshelf; it not – find a copy.
