There’s a very well done piece in the Missoulian In charting the future of the Clark Fork River, lessons exist on Blackfoot, Bitterroot rivers – that’s worth 8-10 minutes of your time.

The Clark Fork doesn’t necessarily get a lot of love outside of Montana, particularly given it’s history interwoven with Montana’s legacy as a mineral extraction state, though its recovery has been damned impressive, and there’s a lot of fly fishing (and other recreating) done on its waters.

An unusually balanced and nuanced story, this one is worth your time.
