Pretty damned interesting podcast from a couple of Florida-based fly fishing and waterfowl guides (meaning they’re on the water much of the year) covering Florida’s red tide and water management woes from an angle you probably haven’t appreciated before. I haven’t researched all of their assertions, though their practical, locally-driven insights, derived from time on the ground and on the water over the years, resonate. If you have an interest in the area and the issue, worth your time.

Update: Another local’s view, noting thoughtfully that Florida’s water woes aren’t solely due to ‘Big Sugar’, from author Randy Wayne White in the Miami Herald here.
