Steven Palmer (fishing manager Orvis Plano) and I are putting together a fly fishing event – The Texas Carpnado – carp only, catch and release – coming up on the 27th and 28th of April to raise money for the North Texas Patriot Anglers, a regional nonprofit team aiding veterans and their families through the healing, restorative power of fly fishing.
We’re ironing out the final details, such as the food truck(s) to be at Tupps Brewery for the afterparty and awards and welcoming several new sponsors. The prizes and giveaways are looking better and better each week, more details to come…
