From Trouts Fly Fishing blog –

As some of you may know, this year’s Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) won’t be making its way through Denver until March. We don’t know about you, but the winter doldrums tend to set in in mid-January and we need our annual January dose of Fish Porn. With that in mind, Trouts Fly Fishing is proud to announce the Throwback Thursday Fly Fishing Film Fest, presented by The Drake Magazine, Felt Soul Media and The Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T). Join us Thursday, January 18th at the Oriental Theater for the films that started it all. We will be showcasing a collection of the best fly fishing films from the Golden Age of Fly Fishing Film (2004-2012). It’s a Throwback Thursday to the max. Everything from ticket and beer prices to the movies themselves will be reminiscent of the Early 2000s.

Not only will the classics be in the rotation at the Oriental, but all of the proceeds from the Throwback Thursday Fly Fishing Film Fest will be donated to Denver Trout Unlimited’s (DTU’s) commitment to raise the Denver – South Platte River’s flows. Our goal is to raise $7500 in order to secure another acre-foot of water in Chatfield Reservoir. With some help from our amazing sponsors, Scott Fly Rods, Yeti Coolers, Ross Reels, Simms Fishing Products, Fishpond, Abel Reels, and Costa, we will be auctioning off some of the latest and greatest from these industry leaders. Additionally, we will be auctioning off the artwork produced by Ian Davis and Scott Wells at our 2018 Denver Fly Fishing Show booth. All of the proceeds from the silent auctions will go towards bringing higher base flows to the Denver South Platte. So, come one and all to the Throwback Thursday Fly Fishing Film Fest (or TTFFFF, for short…we kid) and enjoy a blast from the past to help the future of our home waters.

Tickets at Trouts or at the door.
