The Snow Santa has been very kind to Montana and at least part of the greater Northern Rockies so far this year (I’m looking at you, Wyoming), and there’s a major winter storm that’s been pummeling Western Montana for almost two days now.
Of course it’s damned early in the snowpack building year, but snowpack is off to a very good start in most river basins as seen above; the rest of the West (below) hasn’t been doing their snow dance hard enough yet…
