A double Attaboy Monday today, though you’ll see they’re related…

Meriwether Cider to Release Their New River Elder Cider on the 25th to Support SRW

RiverElderCiderRelease25oct

The good folks at Meriwether Cider in the Boise area (Garden City actually) are releasing an all Idaho Elderberry cider (the River Elder) on the 25th, with 70% of sales to go to the Snake River Waterkeeper.

From their event page –

Come drink for charity! We are teaming up with Snake River Waterkeeper to bring you an all Idaho Elderberry cider the River Elder! 70% of all bottles, pints, and growlers sold will go to the Snake River Waterkeeper organization. For the release, we will have B-Town Bistro providing food, all original music by Adam Strabinger, raffles, and more! Don’t miss it, because the only thing better than drinking is drinking for good!

Well played, Meriwether Cider, well played.

Kudos to the Snake River Waterkeeper Team for Coverage of the WOTUS Issue

After noting in this post the lack of honest discourse about the WOTUS (Waters of the United States) / Clean Water Rule review of late, the following note popped up in the newsletter of the SRW –

Kudos for simply acknowledging the legal wrangling in place (something that essentially none of the “bigs” of advocacy I called out have chosen to do) over the WOTUS – you can’t fix it if you can’t make the right call on what’s wrong in the first place…

By the way, the Snake River Waterkeeper team continues to do very solid, scientifically-grounded work for the Snake River System; they’re having a membership drive and your engagement will make a real difference – see more here.
