UAFishHunterSSShirtIt’s time again to launch another giveaway to get your September started off right, and I’m pleased as can be to offer up this nifty piece from Under Armor, their Fish Hunter short sleeve (in their Absinthe Green, XL) shirt.

We talked about some of the very innovative things Under Armor has been doing in the general outdoor and fishing niches back a few weeks ago when we ran the giveaway on the UA Fish Hunter Cargo Short.

As noted in that post, we’ve been using various pieces of UA’s gear for years, mainly as layering pieces while recreating and working (running the horse barn in the Flathead, where we were outside every blasted day of the year, regardless of weather) in Montana.

As impressed as I was with their cargo shorts, I’m even more impressed with this short sleeve Fish Hunter shirt.

The shirt is woven from a very lightweight nylon/elastane blend; it’s soft to the hand, stretches with ease to accommodate movement, and has been delightfully breathable in late August heat the past few weeks in Texas.

UA notes the fabric carries 50+ UPF sun protection, and it’s been treated to repel stains; the shirt wicks sweat readily and dries quickly; the mesh-backed shoulder vents have added to the shirt’s overall comfort.

Overall, I’ve found this shirt to be extremely well made and sharp looking; I even really appreciate the vertical zip closure pocket while working in the field (I’ve worked in the shirt much more than fished so far). And once again, my lovely wife, who works at a managerial level in outdoor retail, has looked it over with a damned critical eye and given it two thumbs up.

Overall, this one is a winner.

Speaking of being a winner, once again thanks to the good folks at Under Armor, we have a brand-spanking new Fish Hunter Short Sleeve Shirt, XL, color Absinthe (as per the pic above) still sealed in the original bag to give away this week.

If that’s a fit, or fits someone in your world, DRAWING CLOSED. We’ll announce the winner and drop this in the mail first thing Tuesday morning, 12 September.
