Garden and Gun recently (28 June) ran a piece covering Bill Oyster, owner, shopmaster, and master craftsman overseeing Oyster Fine Bamboo Fly Rods in Blue Ridge, GA; it’s worth a clickthrough and read to soften Monday’s blow today.
Oyster’s work is very well known, particularly for his wide array of salt water rods – quite uncommon in the bamboo world – and his astounding engraving work (check out the rod gallery page on his site).
