Montana Aquatic Resources Services (MARS) and the Trout Unlimited Montana Water Project kick off a two-day symposium in Livingston tomorrow to “discuss the state of the Upper Yellowstone River and future threats to its vitality.” Their event landing page states –
Open to all, this event will bring together community members, agricultural producers, business owners, guides and outfitters, and local experts to discuss the social, ecological and economic impacts tied to the Yellowstone River’s health.
Through open dialogue, scientific presentations and educational panels, attendees will gain a better understanding of how we can act to protect the Yellowstone and preserve its waters and our way of life.
From the agenda (link on landing page above), Ag appears to be woefully underrepresented among the listed presenters, though the event should be interesting nonetheless, even if entirely predictable in content and message.
