AFFTA announced yesterday that the IFTD show will be moving back West to Denver starting in 2019, and will shuffle the show to the fall (October 16-18) in 2019, avoiding the peak of the summer season though still impacting some of the best fall fishing days in the Northern Rockies.
AFFTA Director Ben Bullis proclaimed the move to Denver as fitting in part due to the fact that “the Mountain West is the epicenter of the fly fishing industry…”.
While we’re not sure what other cities were in contention, word has it that SLC will be negotiating pretty deeply on convention space in the next few years…
