We love it when local shops pull together regional teams and offer events like this – what a great chance to pick the fish brains of some of the best local folks around and kick the tires on some of the latest and greatest gear.
I spent part of my wayward youth guiding backpacking trips into the Weminuche Wilderness out of Durango; town has changed a bit since then (to say the least), but it’s still one of my favorites in the mid-Rockies.
