CWTTh_RegBrew_2Mar17_350Now and again it’s worthwhile to sit back, take a deep breath, put down or turn off whatever electronic device is clamoring for your attention, and think about the things in life that truly add value to your day to day grind.

With a modicum of effort most of us could probably scribble a dozen or so things to appreciate right now, if not more.

This being Thirsty Thursday, one of the items on our list today are the dozens and dozens of great regional brews out there, many of which have graced the coolers of fly fishers for years, some you’ll no doubt learn about this upcoming season.

Some regional brewers (we’d argue some of the most valuable men and women tradesmen in the country today) produce beers that have been finely honed over decades and passed down from generation to generation, others pursue the alchemy of fermentation for the pure pleasure of creation and love of the craft, often taking a hobby that started on the kitchen counter to a full-blown business, sometimes crossing old-school boundaries in pursuit of the perfect brew along the way.

We salute the regional brewers near and far today; you’ve made our “we’re damned thankful for you today” list once again. Keep up the great work and keep those lines running.

Cheers.
