New Mexico holds many a treasure for the those of us who love the outdoors along with a fascinating food culture. And if you’re a skier and haven’t skied Taos during an abundant snow year, you’ve missed something pretty damned magical. I spent many a day chasing outdoor dreams in New Mexico growing up and still think in some respects it’s a forgotten gem of the Rockies.
