For a lot of folks out there, the arrival of the post-holiday, deep winter season signals the arrival of the real deal tying season.
For some reason this year we’ve had many more questions about tying vises, and recently ran across this vid posted in the past week by the master Kelly Galloup. Granted, it’s probably more oriented to the novice tyer or someone looking to upgrade. I do like the fact that he shows the venerable Thompson Model A – the vise that a legion of tyers first used (I still have mine around here somewhere…).
Time to buckle down and get those boxes filled.
