In the summer of 2013 I traveled solo to La Ventana, Mexico in pursuit of a monster Roosterfish. With no quad bike to cover vast tracks of remote beach, I opted to simply stake out a prominent point. On day five, a huge female rooster appeared with two large males. The big girl ate the fly (twice), and the rest is history. It took about 45 minutes to land this beast. Watch closely at 0.35 to get a glimpse of her, and then at the end, you’ll see that she still had her two suitors with her. Lots of Holy Shits and NSFW words, so wear ear buds!
