While no doubt there will be (are) detractors, we agree with those who have and continue to suggest that a Wild and Scenic designation for Montana’s Rock Creek is a grand idea.
The notion has been talked about for years and years, though in the last few proponents have been gaining steam. There’s even a website now – Wild and Scenic Rock Creek – where some of the local concerns (land takings, firewood cutting, use restrictions to name a few) are addressed and there’s a petition to be signed and forwarded.
Time to get this one done.
