NFBB_JMM_3Jul_V1I’m heading off to the northwestern corner of Montana this morning; visiting compadres at Linehan Outfitting Company while on assignment for Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures. Looking forward to getting back near home country; that corner of Montana is a very different beast than the rest of the state. Check back next week for a report and images.

So, in the spirit of a long, hot, get-out-and-play-while-you-can weekend, here’s a sampling of summertime shots from the mighty Missouri.

The little town of Craig puts on one proper Fourth of July celebration, and if you’re in anywhere close to the vicinity of the infamous trout town, I’d highly recommend you drop on by!

The fireworks images are from a Fourth of July what seems like many moons ago, but was in reality only a few years (a lot of miles ago, though, apparently).

For many, the Fourth of July is an excuse to recreate with family and friends, to fire up the grill and get some sunshine on your skin. While you’re out playing, remember to pause and take a moment to remember why we have this holiday — and exactly why it is we have the freedom that we do. Then, go out and celebrate it.
