This week I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with Utah Stream Access president Kris O and he mentioned there’s only two boats open for their upcoming Gourmet on the Green event – an ingenious fundraising event dreamed up by a pair of volunteers, guide Opie Caggiano and chef Katie Weinner.
Since our last mention, Fall River Fly Rods has donated a custom bamboo rod and Old Moe Guide Service has donated a boat/guide for the effort.
This isn’t just for local and regional guys and gals; some of the best fly fishing we’ve ever done has happened on the Green in late May and early June (did someone mention Cicadas?) and it would be well worth a trip for the well-heeled, damned generous fly fishers out there.
Kris was out on the Green earlier this week and even with the water up, the canyon is a bewitching place (his image below).
