For 27 years (since 1989) the Bighorn River Alliance has hosted the Annual Bighorn Carp Classic Tournament on Bighorn Lake; it’s an event like none other.
Their goals are to mainly have a good time, “encourage dry-fly carp recreation, and raise funds for cold water conservation efforts” on the Bighorn.
For those that have not ventured over, the lake itself and Bighorn Canyon are a sight to behold. The tournament runs from 10-1600 on the 15th of July, with a BBQ and band party to follow.
Field your two-person team, secure a non-motorized boat (amen) and get out there.
