Having spent years living in the Flathead between Kalispell and Columbia Falls, very nearly a stone’s throw from the Pressentine Bar access, we maintain a soft spot in our collective hearts for that country.
While not necessarily featuring the most classic of what you might consider Montana Blue Ribbon Water, the Flathead is a place of astounding beauty and offers some lesser traveled and pressured fly fishing gems (try chasing native cutts on the South Fork of the Flathead for instance) that’ll rival any fishing anywhere.
Giving Tuesday Target: Henry’s Fork Foundation
The HF Foundation has set a goal to raise $30,000 on Giving Tuesday to finish the purchase of Stone Bridge property to guarantee continued access from Warm River to Ashton. The HFF Directors have agreed to pony up matching funds ($15,000 pledged so far). There’s even a nifty raffle for gifts of $100 or more.
