Thirsty Thursday 26 November: Apple Cider Moscow Mule

Another nifty submission for all we | you ‘mulies’ out there from old friend Steve S. in Salt Lake City.

I know you guys are big Moscow Mule fans; here’s one of my favorites for the fall and holiday season my wife brought down from a day at Alta last December ‘with the girls’.

It’s measurably better with the fresh cider and the thyme sprig really does compliment things well. This one will be poured at our Thanksgiving celebration in a few days again…

Hot damn; all we Mulies out there thank you.

1 and 1/2 ounces apple vodka
2-3 ounces fresh apple cider
2-3 ounces good ginger beer
Ice

Garnish: Apple slices and thyme sprig

Fill that trusty copper mule mug with ice.

Pour the vodka, then top with equal amounts of the fresh cider and ginger beer.

Garnish with an apple slice or two and a fresh thyme sprig.

Enjoy.
