Angling Trade’s Growing the Sport Poll
Angling Trade has posted a survey querying how fly anglers feel about growing the sport – Do we really want to grow angler numbers? We hear this issue discussed just about every day, and AT had a fairly spirited response to their article discussing the topic in the October print issue as well.
While their intent was (most likely) to focus on opinions of those in the industry, we rank and file fishers certainly can (should) weigh in as well.
Simms’ KC Walsh Weighs in on the Threat to Montana’s Smith
KC Walsh, long time angler and the Big Kahuna at Simms in Bozeman recently penned an op-ed in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle about the threats facing Montana’s Smith River from a Tintina Resources mine proposed on critical Smith headwaters.
Walsh asks “Should we be gambling with something we value so dearly?”
