When you find a girl who genuinely enjoys fishing, you better keep her around. She’s been trying to get me to take her fishing every chance we can, and sadly we haven’t gone as much as we should. A few nights ago we were able to run up to Hyalite Creek for a few hours before dark. Small water is one of my favorite things, and Kaitlyn gained a good appreciation of them over the summer.
We only caught one that evening and had a few others eating off the top. The Royal Wulff played again (as it always does on small water) and fooled this pretty little rainbow. It is a wonderful sight to see someone get so excited over small fish.
They say that teaching someone you love to fish can be a risky thing for the relationship. In some cases I would agree, but seeing that smile on her face makes taking that chance worth it. So take your girl fishing. It’s worth it.
