The Madison River Foundation’s ‘Ennis on the Madison’ Fly Fishing Festival is coming up September 4 and 5. It’s a great event and is run by a veritable army of volunteers; MRF issued their call for help this past week.

MGTU | TU Veterans Service Partnership

The Trout Unlimited Veterans Service Partnership (VSP) is helping to host a special fly fishing event on the Upper Madison in August with an organization called TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors). TAPS is a very special organization whose mission is to provide grief counseling and support for families who have lost loved ones in military service.

This year’s event will be held 26-30 August at the Parade Rest Guest Ranch near West Yellowstone and participants will be provided two days of fly fishing. 12 volunteers with boats are needed to row the participants; you don’t have to be a licensed guide and TU will cover liability insurance, shuttles, lunches and beverages.

This is a wonderful program and would be time very well spent.
