Pics of the Day: Fourth of July Fun

The Fourth of July is always a fun day.  Especially when you get to spend it in beautiful places with good people.  Shane and Patrick talked me into driving to Ennis after work and joining them and a few others for the rodeo and then a late float.  I was a little hesitant due to the crowds and the heat, but it was well worth it.

The fish of the night was this one:

Shane hooked up with Patrick on the oars and the two of them did a hell of a job landing that fish.  You know a guy is a good friend when he’ll drop anchor, jump up out of the rower’s seat and go tearing off down river with you to net your fish.

While we missed the fireworks in Virginia City, we got a pretty good display anyway.  A beautiful sunset is even better on the river.  The water has a way of reflecting the light to make it seem much more intense.  The picture hardly does it justice.

Anyone else have a good Fourth?
