This May I’m doing something I never have before: head to Florida to chase tarpon. Friend BTP moved to Florida last fall and the trip has been in the works since. Being a freshwater trout guy from Montana, I am pretty much in the dark when it comes to a lot of aspects of saltwater fishing.
So I turn to you guys with a simple question. What flies do I need to be tying for that trip? I’ve got a wad of tarpon hooks, EP fibers and various other odds and ends. Thanks to the internet I’ve got a reasonable idea on what I should be doing but I would appreciate any ideas, tips, or suggestions anyone would care to offer.
