For the past almost three months I’ve been spending a lot of time in Livingston. Not only is it a really cool town, but there is a lovely young lady there who for whatever reason really likes me.
Yesterday the sun was shining and the river was calling my name, so I headed over the pass to the Yellowstone. I haven’t fished the river right around Livingston before so I wasn’t sure where to go. Ended up at Carter’s Bridge and messed around for a few hours before the wind got the better of me. The fishing was slow so I didn’t mind leaving.
Grabbing lunch at a local fast food joint (it’s always sad when Mark’s is closed) I decided to eat by the river. Sacajawea Park is just down the street from Kaitlyn’s house and offers some great views of the river and surrounding mountains. Sitting on a park bench watching one of the most famous rivers in trout fishing flow by with the Absoraka Mountains in the background is not a bad way to spend some time. It would be nice to have the river almost literally right in your backyard…
