Over the years, I have had the opportunity to live in a lot of really different places. Different cultures, different walks of life, different climates, really a mix of just about everything. That was one big advantage of moving around a lot growing up. It exposed Jess and I to a lot of stuff that most people don’t see at an early age.
Our family has always had that sense of wanderlust, the itch that must be scratched now and then by a new, different place. It’s a big country (and a big world) out there, and there is a lot to see and experience. Sure, you can go visit somewhere and get a taste of a place, but you don’t really know a place until you have lived there.
But throughout it all, and all the different addresses and states and places I’ve been, there has always been that one place that is “Home”. That place where the more places I go, the more certain I am that I absolutely belong there and no where else: Montana.
So, with that in mind, I am very pleased to announce that I will be moving back to Bozeman next week. I’ll be Home again.
The PNW has been an interesting place. I’m really glad I came out here, met the people and had the experiences I did have. I had never lived out here before, and now I know it just isn’t for me. I definitely see some fishing trips to visit friends in the future, but this really just isn’t my kind of place. I simply don’t belong.
Home is where the heart is, and my heart will never leave Montana.
