My Cup (River) Doth Runneth Over: An (Almost) Final Look at Snowpack

Intending to take a final look at snowpack data for the northern Rockies today I’m a bit surprised to see that May’s final reporting isn’t yet posted.

Looking back at the map summary data from 1 April, the northern rockies, the Cascades and the northern most Missouri River drainages were/are loaded with snow from this last blustery winter.

There’s yet a fair amount of water to come tumbling out of the hills; here’s to a cool, damp spring that drags it out slowly.

And how about a moment of solemn silence for our fishy friends in southern Oregon and California.

We feel your pain.
