Thirsty Thursday: Brewery Offers Reward For Capture of Bigfoot

Olympia Beer is offering a reward for the safe capture of Bigfoot.

I kid you not.

The brewing company, formerly based in Olympia, Washington, is offering a $1 million dollar reward to anyone who can “ensure the safe capture” of Bigfoot.  The caveat is that the creature can’t be harmed in any way, and no violent measures can be taken during his capture.  You can read more about the reward here.

It sounds like the brewery has been offering the reward since April, but I only found out about it last week.  Bigfoot is one of those subjects that can be quite contentious.  Most people will roll their eyes and say there is no such thing, but after a quick drive around the dense rain forest of the O.P., I can see why folks say the elusive critter makes his home out there.  And the lure of a million dollar reward is enough to make even the most skeptical of people take an extra look over their shoulders in the woods.

It’s a great move on Olympia Beer’s part.  They have effectively made themselves the Bigfoot searching beer of choice.  I would imagine if you drink enough of it, you’ll be seeing Sasquatch behind every tree.  Maybe if you left one out in the woods, it would draw him in…
