A little different spin on the Friday Feast today.
I’m in Cascade, Montana for a few days this week, working on a film project here on the Missouri (more to come), staying with Jess in her efficiency ‘apartment’ a block off Main Street.
Her place is what appears to be an ancient converted garage, now one big room with two small windows. There are a few other notable features: the fridge and I are about the same age, the shower stall as wide as my shoulder width and half the power outlets melted in some far ago overload.
It’s neat as a pin and clean as can be as would be expected.
When I rolled in last night it was 88 degrees outside at about 9 PM; it was a few degrees warmer inside. For a fat guy who’s spent the past few months in the Puget Sound lowlands that’s been quite the eye opener.
Today’s Friday Feast will be another round of cold fruit, some decent cheese, cream cheese on a fresh-baked slice of a new sourdough fruit nut loaf we’re working on and lots of ice cold water followed by other very cold adult beverages after the evening film session.
Keep it cool out there today.
