After blathering about soon-to-be-released hard ciders a few weeks ago, chef Libby emailed over a link to this story (4 Up-and-Coming Cider Makers to Watch in 2013) post on Serious Eats back in late February.
A friend from Michigan happen to have a bottle of Sietsema’s Yellow Label Hard Cider on hand which he shared with some ceremony a few days ago.

Our take on the traditional American cider. We use champagne yeast to give our Yellow Label a carbonated kick, resulting in a full-bodied beverage that is dry, tart and just a little sweet.
Wow.
Everything it was billed to be and more; would be a great foil for some spicy grilled goodies hot off the fire.
Long live the hard cider resurgence.
