The good folks at the Native Fish Society are throwing a little shindig in a couple of weeks in Portland to raise general operating funds and have some fun with their supporters.
There’s a pretty damned impressive live auction (list of goods here) and large silent and super-silent auctions as well; the eats and drinks look pretty nifty too.

Homewaters Reflect Hopes
Every April the Native Fish Society, 300 wild fish fervents, and more than 100 indescribably generous donors come together under the big top at Montgomery Park in Portland, OR to create the largest wild fish party in the universe. This year’s auction theme, Homewaters Reflect Hopes, acknowledge the recovery of wild salmonids that is occurring in so many of our Pacific Northwest watersheds.
This year’s auction will feature a delicious dinner by Food in Bloom Catering, beer by GoodLife Brewing, and an array of fine wines from Lange Estate Winery, Yamhill Valley Vineyards and Z’ivo Wines.

Is the future of advocacy group fundraising?
Maybe. The idea of a big party under the tent draws smiles just about anywhere you go in the country. I wonder how we’d do this Montana style….
